IWC Ingenieur Automatic 42

Now let’s take it a step further. For the first time in this generation of the Ingenieur collection, we have a black ceramic model: the IWC Ingenieur Automatic 42 Black Ceramic. While other replica swiss watches brands have jumped on the bandwagon and made advances in ceramic watchmaking, IWC earned that title in 1986 by being the first watchmaker to launch a true ceramic watch. Moreover, black ceramic is of particular significance to IWC, given its groundbreaking designs for Porsche Design. Fast forward to the present day, and IWC continues to demonstrate its mastery in ceramic watchmaking. However, given that metal models are known for their high-quality exterior finishes, IWC wanted to succeed with the Ingenieur collection and get it just right.
Creating a full ceramic case is difficult enough in itself, but creating a full ceramic bracelet is perhaps even more difficult. IWC chose full ceramic over porcelain titanium because they wanted to keep a more refined mixed finish, like the metal Ingenieur. It also has a deeper black, which better showcases the luxurious light and shadow effects brought by this mixed finish.
This watch is cleverly paired with a black grid dial to make its overall tone more unified. Flip the replica luxury watches over and you will find a smoked transparent caseback, continuing the low-key style. However, under the mirror, you will see the 82110 automatic winding movement with a 60-hour power reserve. Don't worry, I won't forget to share its full dimensions and water resistance rating. The 100-meter water-resistant case is 42 mm in diameter and 11.6 mm thick.
IWC Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar 41 IW344903 Last but not least, here is where the real complexity lies. The last new Ingenieur model launched this year is the Perpetual Calendar 41, which is the first high-complexity Ingenieur watch in the contemporary series. Despite the complexity, the dimensions are quite modest at just 41.6mm x 13.4mm. For those who don’t like complicated watches, it also has a 100m water resistance rating, like the rest of the Ingenieur collection. IWC’s first Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar 41 features the blue dial we recently saw on the Automatic 40 series, but it’s obviously different from its predecessors, with three subdials showing the perpetual calendar’s displays.
The center only shows the hours and minutes, the subdial at 3 o’clock indicates the date, the subdial at 6 o’clock shows the month and moon phases, and the subdial at 9 o’clock shows the day of the week and leap year. All of these displays can be adjusted synchronously via the crown, thanks to Kurt Klaus and IWC’s famous system.
Inside the watch is the automatic calibre 82600, which, despite being a high-performance movement, has a 60-hour power reserve. Although we were unable to verify this ourselves, thanks to the reduction gear train using two intermediate wheels, the moon-phase display is said to only be off by one day after 577.5 years. https://www.grand-watch.co
